This site has been set up by his daughters Debbie, Jackie and Sue as a tribute to Brian who chose to support London Air Ambulance over many years.
Brian died peacefully on Monday November 18th, after a short illness. He had been in hospital since early September, right after celebrating his 91st birthday. We visited him often, and we were all with him at the end.
Brian lived in south east London and Kent for most of his life. He was not the most gregarious person, but had a gift for charming people. He occasionally loved to be the centre of attention, and was a fan of irreverent silliness, as exemplified by The Goons, Last of the Summer Wine, and comedy songs. His work was very important to him, and he continued working at Sainsburys checkouts until 2022. He was a conscientious, charismatic, and good-natured gent, with a strong sense of duty.
Dad didn’t want fuss or flowers. So please don't send flowers. Instead donations in his memory to his chosen charities, Help for Heroes or the London Air Ambulance, would be appreciated.
